Among this area’s most beautiful attractions are its many breathtaking beaches, drawing visitors form all parts of the globe. Located on the scenic Mendocino coast, surrounded by beautiful beaches on the Pacific Ocean, Fort Bragg offers a unique blend of natural resources, recreation, and scenery.

While many beaches offer more secluded serenity, others can be seen full of outdoor-lovers on beautiful coastal day- beachcombers & tidepoolers, photographers & joggers share the scenery with surfers, kayakers, abalone divers & fishermen.
Our coastal beaches offer a wide variety of leisure activity for all, as well as world-class ocean sports for the more hardy of heart.

Among the many other sights, you will see horseback riding at Pudding Creek, MacKerricher State Park, Ten Mile Beach, Mendocino Headlands State Park and many other locations along the Mendocino Coast. For horseback trail rides and information, visit our Horseback Riding page.

Late on any coastal evening, you will see the distant glow of beach campfires sprinkled along the coast while groups of families and friends share a rustic barbecue and stories by the open sea. And in the background is the gentle sound of waves caressing the beach and the rocky-lined shore.
